Help Wanted: Weapons Testers
As this campaign is set 16 years after the Second Great War, new weapons have been developed. The following are weapons I've created so far that I would like people to test. Please download the zip file and test these weapons for performance, play balance, and any other comments you might have. Please send all comments to: joek@joek.com.
Download Weapons Zip File.
The following table describes the new weapons.
| Name | Description | Mass | Velocity | Fire Wait | Damage | Armor Factor | Shield Factor | Subsystem Factor | Lifetime | Energy Consumed |
| Subach HL-8: | While Mekhu Enterprises improved upon the HL-7 with a rotational charge array, Subach-Innes slowed down the fire time so that each shot could pack a greater punch. | 0.2 | 900.0 | 0.4 | 25 | 0.9 | 0.7 | 0.3 | 1.0 | 0.40 |
| Mekhu HL-8 | Also refered to as the Mekhu Repeater, the Mekhu HL-8 is an upgrade of the Standard Issue HL-7. It uses an advanced rotational charge array, which behaves in a manner similar to an ancient gatling gun. By rotating the charge capacitors, it is able to fire a shot while charging up for the next shots. This gives the Mekhu HL-8 a higher fire rate than the Mekhu HL-7, but it comes with a cost of less power in each shot. Since it's debut the Mekhu HL-8 has become popular with young pilots who like to fire a barrage of shots, whether they hit their target or not. | 0.3 | 400.0 | 0.07 | 6 | 0.9 | 0.8 | 0.3 | 2.5 | 0.3 |
| Medusa HDG | The Medusa Disruptor is a highly advanced subsystem disruption cannon. Firing highly ionized slugs of unstable elements, it has a nasty effect on subsystems. The Medusa Disruptor can knock out subsystems on fighter-sized ships with a single hit, living up to its namesake who could turn men to stone with a single gaze. Its major drawback though is its long firing wait and slow speed. | 0.6 | 400.0 | 1 | 100 | 0.0 | 0.1 | 2.0 | 2.0 | 5.0 |
| Evening Star | The Evening Star is a prototype next-generation Morning Star. GTVA engineers have been able to increase the mass and damage factor of the Morning Star, making the Evening Star a weapon well suited to Interceptors who need to knock bombers off their bombing runs. | 5.0 | 1000.0 | 0.30 | 21 | 1.15 | 1.5 | 0.2 | 2.0 | 1.3 |
| Prometheus H | The GAW-5b Prometheus H is a modified version of the original the Prometheus S. Using an advanced rotational charge array (like in the Mekhu HL-8), the Prometheus H is able to charge up for its next shots while it is firing its current shot. This gives the weapon an increased rate of fire. Engineers have been able to maintain most of the Prometheus's well-known damage factor while reducing the energy usage, but with the higher fire rate, the Prometheus H can drain a ship's energy banks faster than the Prometheus S. | 0.1 | 1000.0 | 0.15 | 25 | 0.9 | 1.0 | 0.35 | 2.0 | 0.66 |
| Magnus | With advances in particle control, GTVA engineers have been able to greatly improve upon the powerful Maxim cannon. The Magnus fires anti-uranium pellets (sheathed in a magnetic plasma matrix) the same way the Maxim fires uranium slugs. However the matter-antimatter anihilation created when these slugs hit a ship's hull creates a blast more than twice as powerful than with the conventional Maxim cannon. | 0.05 | 3600.0 | 0.33 | 50 | 1.33 | 0.0 | 0.66 | 1.0 | 2.5 |
| UD-11 Kayser | The GAW UD-11 Kayser uses new advances in energy transmission and particle physics to create a more powerful and faster firing Kayser weapon. | 0.5 | 1000.0 | 0.2 | 33 | 0.6 | 0.6 | 0.35 | 1.5 | 1.0 |
| Siren | The GAW-20 Siren cannon is a second-generation Circe gun. It breaks through shields far faster than its predecessors. | 0.2 | 500.0 | 0.33 | 50 | 0.0 | 1.25 | 0.0 | 2.5 | 1.0 |
| Nemesis |
The Nemesis improves upon the Tempest with a more reactive propellant, giving it a top speed of 450 m/s. |

+Tech Title: GAM-4b Firestorm Missile |
+Tech Anim: Tech_Tornado
+Tech Description:
The GAM-4b Firestorm gives pilots something they've been asking for: a dumb-fire swarm missile. With the Firestorm, GTVA engineers have taken the same Tornado package, and replaced the aspect seeking circuitry with heat seeking intelligence, making the Firestorm a potent threat to any warm targets. |

+Tech Description:
With the GAM-16 Berserker, GTVA engineers have combined the best attributes from many of the missiles pilot's love best. It has the range of the Trebuchet, the blast force of the Piranha, the aspect package of the Harpoon, an EMP blast, and better than the Infyrno, it launches multiple bomblets in an increased range of destruction. This is an ultimate weapon, restricted to elite pilots only. |

Anti-Capital Ship Weapon
Mini-Meson Warhead |
$end_multi_text
+Tech Title: GAM-15 Mini-Meson |
+Tech Anim: Tech_Helios
+Tech Description:
Extensive research and development into Meson weaponry has yielded the GAM-15 Mini-Meson. Using a microscopic fraction of the explosive in a conventional Meson warhead, the Mini-Meson delivers twice the explosive power of the Helios. The Mini-Meson is a very powerful weapon, even in cargo transit, as was experienced by the Oppenheimer weapons research facility. This weapon will be called for use under only the most extreme circumstances. |
