They year is 2383, and it has been 16 years since the end of the Second Great War and the destruction of Capella by the Shivans.
Since that time the GTVA has been rebuilding its fleets and tightening the bonds between Terran and Vasudan societies. The influx of refugees from Capella forced new technologies and techniques in mining and farming to be developed. This growth helped the GTVA economy to recover and grow after the second Shivan attack. GTVA colonists and mining corporations have expanded into new systems discovered through new nodes formed by the gravitational shift that happened when Capella went supernova. In the 16 years since the end of the Second Great War, the GTVA has prospered so far as to begin construction of three new Colossus-class juggernauts and a Knossos-type device to reopen the node to Sol.
But the GTVA is not free from trouble. During the past 16 years a new threat has been rising, a new rebel force who’s strength and growth rival the Neo-Terran Front of 16 years ago. They call themselves the Empire Of Our Children. Their goal is to stop GTVA expansion and the exploitation of new systems. They believe that the Shivans are determined to exterminate Terran-Vasudan society just as they exterminated the Ancients. They believe that only by locking away the Terran and Vasudan species, and hiding from the Shivans, will there ever be a future for Terrans and Vasudans. Like many cultures throughout both Terran and Vasudan history, they believe that universe is there not only for those living in the present, but it is also there for all their children and children’s children. To the EOC, this includes the survival of the Terran and Vasudan species.
