and on this night we dance and burn and carry
long
into the night on shadows and ghosts that are
gone
on a howling wind of cold fear with some
song
of dreams and spirits of wicked night not
wrong
to be caught in the fever of the leaves’ whisper
strong
for frightened excitement on this all Hallow’s Eve
