Definite plans, lost in the haze Positive certainty, she never gave I wanted so much more, But I couldn’t say it What I had in store, I can’t discern it in the least bit. Across a forbidden plain I can’t see without the rain, A purple sky flies above And red clouds shadow my love. I’ve given myself to chances, As we sail through fate’s dance. Give me something to hold I’ll let it go to the sands With my wings I’ll swim again Through a forest of strange faces I gave you the cup, but where’d you go? You gave me the hope, but look what I’ve lost. I’ve taken control, And drove off the edge, Run down the fall, To not catch up with me, And now it’s done, And now to go on, Continue where we started, To give up again.
